About the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens
The zoo has been operating in its current location along Lake Monroe since 1975. It’s a short drive from places like Orlando and DeLand, but it’s also a wonderful destination for animal lovers from across the Southeast.
The animal exhibits range from some you might find naturally in Florida, like black bears and alligators, to more exotic animals, like the endangered Indian rhino.
