At VyStar Credit Union, appreciation for our military is built into our roots. Since 1952, when our credit union was founded at Naval Air Station Jacksonville to create a safe place for our military and civil service members to save and borrow money, VyStar has supported the military and veteran community. While our field of membership has expanded over the past 70 years, we’ve maintained a steadfast commitment to the brave men and women who serve our country. This year, that commitment has included:
Continued partnership with the Jacksonville Naval Museum, who led efforts to bring the USS Orleck to Jacksonville.
VyStar President/CEO Brian Wolfburg joining the USO Southeast Region Advisory Board, where he provides resources to assist military members transitioning to civilian life. He also uses the new position to bring like-minded individuals and corporations together to bring more support to the military and veteran communities across the Southeast.
The introduction of the Military Heroes Mortgage Program, a program honoring those who protect, serve and care for our country and communities with a wide array of benefits, plenty of payment and closing options, and even provide you with your very own VyHero Mortgage Support Team.
These are just a few ways VyStar continues to demonstrate our dedication to our military heroes and honors our military roots. We also sponsor, provide or support various events, initiatives, special resources and services that help and protect military service members.

In honor of Veterans Day, VyStar is proud to sponsor a free day of entry for all veterans and active-duty military members on Friday, Nov. 11.
Orlando Solar Bears
VyStar is proud to present the Orlando Solar Bear's Military Appreciation Game on Sunday, Nov. 13! VyStar is donating 300 tickets to local military organizations. Plus, the first 100 VyStar Credit Union members who present their VyStar debit or credit card at the Amway Center box office can receive a free pair of tickets to the game! During this game, VyStar will recognize the winners of its #HonorYourHero contest.
Florida State University
VyStar members can enjoy a discount on tickets to the Military Appreciation Game on Saturday, Nov. 19! During this game, VyStar will recognize the winners of its #HonorYourHero contest.

In addition, VyStar Credit Union recently invited members and the public to participate in the “Honor Your Hero” contest to recognize active duty and military veterans for their service. Through Oct. 31, we received 200 nominations for active duty or military veterans. Winners will be recognized at an upcoming University of Florida, Florida State University, Orlando Solar Bears or Savannah Ghost Pirates game or receive a set of PXG golf clubs and personalized golf lessons. There were so many touching stories of hope, inspiration and valor. You can visit the Honor Your Hero contest page to read their stories.
