Streamlining the Transition Back to Civilian Life

At VyStar, we’re proud of our military roots, and we’re committed to serving military service members, veterans and their families. To support this goal, our branch at Naval Air Station Jacksonville (NAS Jax) hosts a USO PathfinderSM Military Transition Service Center that offers support and services for military personnel who are transitioning into civilian life.

USO Pathfinder Services

The United Services Organization (USO) has been helping military service members for more than 80 years. The staff at the NAS Jax Pathfinder office work one-on-one with military members to develop a holistic action plan that supports their personal and professional goals as they transition out of the armed forces. Each customized plan addresses the following areas of focus:

  • Employment

  • Education

  • Financial readiness

  • Veteran benefits

  • Housing

  • Legal issues

  • Family strength and wellness

  • Volunteering in their new communities

We’re Ready to Assist You

Service members have a 24-month window—12 months before separation, and 12 after—to use the resources of the USO Pathfinder program. Military spouses can ask for assistance beyond those terms if they need to. For transitioning military who need financial services or advice, our representatives at the VyStar NAS Jax branch are ready to assist them.

If you need either USO Pathfinder or VyStar member services, you can find us at Building 39, at the intersection of Langley and Saratoga, at NAS Jax. Shared office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
