Work-life balance is a focus of our time off policy, and we offer employees a flexible paid time off program. We recently added time off for a health day for preventative care appointments and a day to celebrate you during your birthday.

To be eligible to work at VyStar, candidates must be 18 or older.

We also offer a High School Credit Union Branch Program, in which eligible students at participating high schools can get hands-on, real-world experience managing the operations of a student-run branch, under the supervision of our VyStar Academy of Business and Finance faculty. Yes. Part-time employees work between 30 and 32 hours per week, and they are eligible for VyStar’s employee benefits.
Most of our positions are not work-from-home eligible. However, our Remote Worker program is available to employees in select exempt positions. Remote workers can be situational, or short- or long-term, depending on the requirements of the position.
For employment purposes, we do evaluate our applicants’ overall credit and payment history. However, our credit check does not include credit scores.
The minimum required education for all positions is a high school diploma or equivalent. However, there are certain positions that require a college degree.
Yes. If you are hired, VyStar will provide you with the training that is necessary for your position.

We do a complete criminal background check on all our employees. For insurance purposes, all the employees we hire must be able to meet a banker’s blanket bond. If an individual’s criminal record prevents bondability, we may not be able to move forward in the hiring process with that individual.
Once you submit your employment application via the VyStar Careers online portal, a representative from VyStar’s Human Resources department will contact you—generally by phone—if you have been selected for an interview.
Yes. You are welcome to reapply for a position that has been relisted, even if you were not previously selected for that position.
Yes, you may be considered for rehiring if you left the company on good terms.
Yes. VyStar offers up to $5,200 per year, per employee, for tuition assistance. To be eligible, you must:
  • Be enrolled in a college that holds regional accreditation
  • Be enrolled in courses that are part of a degree program
  • Be an active permanent employee and have completed three (3) months of service prior to the start date of your course(s)
  • Complete the course(s) with a grade of C- or better
