All VyStar Offices will be Closed on February 18, 2019, Presidents' Day.
Whether money’s tight or you sometimes lose track as you move money around, we’ve got your back with a little extra protection. Overdraft protection automatically transfers money from your savings account or line of credit into your checking account should you have less money in it than you need for all your transactions. It’s a great way to avoid both embarrassment and fees, including possible charges from local businesses for returned checks.
When using your VyStar account for overdraft protection, you may only transfer the amount of funds currently available in the account. Be sure to check VyStar’s Disclosures for withdrawal limitations.
An unsecured line of credit can also be used to provide overdraft protection. The money is automatically transferred into your account (up to your available credit limit) and your checks are then paid.
Unless you request to not have the service on your VyStar checking account, you are automatically enrolled in overdraft protection when your checking account is opened. When you establish your VyStar checking account, it is automatically linked to your VyStar savings account as long as your savings is not protecting another account. If you have any questions or do not wish to be enrolled in overdraft protection, please feel free to speak with a VyStar representative at any VyStar branch today.
For all Savings and Money Market accounts, no more than six (6) preauthorized, automatic, Internet, or telephone transfers and withdrawals may be made from these accounts to another account of yours, to a third party, or by check, draft or access card in any statement cycle. If you exceed these limitations, your account may be subject to temporary reclassification or account closure by the Credit Union. Does not apply to Health Savings Accounts or IRA Savings Accounts.
