VyStar Credit Union is built on a foundation of people helping people. We exist to help our members by understanding their financial needs and helping them make good choices that will positively affect their financial situations. We always want to offer our members the best service available, delivered by the highest-quality employees. And in order to accomplish that for our members, we must also provide a positive, supportive working environment in which our staff can flourish and excel throughout every stage of their lives.
We value our employees and appreciate all that they do for our members; and just like our members, they deserve to receive the best that is available from VyStar, especially when it comes to workplace satisfaction and personal benefits. As a strong advocate for work-life balance, I have made it my personal mission to even further improve our already competitive employee offerings—and ultimately drive VyStar to the top of the list of best places to work in Jacksonville.
We are excited to announce that, beginning January 1, 2019, VyStar will offer the following new and improved benefits to employees:
This robust new benefits package, which was announced to employees in October, will be in addition to the excellent offerings we already have in place.
We understand that being the best place to work, however, isn’t just about offering great benefits to our employees. It’s also about providing them with a comfortable workspace that supports their efforts, inspires their creativity, and fosters opportunities for growth. For this reason, as a visible sign of our commitment to our employees—as well as to our members and the Jacksonville community—VyStar made the momentous decision to move our corporate headquarters to what was formerly known as the SunTrust Tower in Downtown Jacksonville—now renamed the VyStar Tower.
On September 8th, VyStar employees and their families were invited to the new tower for a tour of the office spaces, parking facilities and other building amenities. In addition to generating excitement about the big upcoming move, the open house gave our employees a wonderful opportunity to become familiar with their new commute, explore the surrounding neighborhood, sample foods from local eateries, and spend quality time with their co-workers and their loved ones. Representatives from the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA), FSCJ Artist Series, Downtown Vision and more were also present to help answer employees’ questions and provide information about the great things to come for Downtown Jacksonville. As we continue to move closer to moving day, it is the priority of our leadership team as well as our Board of Directors to make the transition to VyStar’s new home as smooth, comfortable and enjoyable as possible for our employees and their loved ones.
Quality service is our most important goal, and our employees are our most important asset. As we continue to grow as a company, it is our hope that these changes will help maintain a positive working environment that helps attract and retain a highly competent and motivated workforce that supports our overall vision and mission: to bring credit union services to more people and provide quality financial service to our members and communities.
