An exciting new branch design is making its way to our newest locations in Volusia County: Ormond Beach (now open) and Port Orange (opening December 2016). These new branches have a refreshed look and feel as well as enhanced technology.
The new technological enhancements will ensure that each member’s visit is productive and efficient, and it will enable increased self-service capabilities via the use of tablets, high-definition videoconferencing, interactive displays, a media wall and electronic community event calendars.
Digital signage has been strategically placed in the new branch to ensure members stay up to date with the latest news and information. An interactive kiosk allows members to review current rates and product information. A discovery center with tablets and Internet kiosks will allow for more in-depth discovery and collaboration with branch staff as members explore all of the products and services offered by VyStar.
New members now have a way to start the enrollment process electronically as soon as they walk into a branch from any one of the discovery tablets. Branch computers used by VyStar staff are linked to the discovery tablets, allowing any Member Relationship Specialist to complete any enrollment started by a new member on the discovery tablets. Our focus here was to leverage technology to improve the productivity of both our members and employees by eliminating redundant questions and unnecessary re-keying of data.
Information on the interactive kiosk will be wide-ranging and customizable based on the requests we receive from members as we go along. At the start, it will be an energized view of our website, while informing members about our latest deposit and loan rates available. Members will be able to interact with the large touchscreen device and explore our products and services.
One of the most anticipated technological enhancements is the Expert Nearby. It will allow an immersive telepresence using the latest in videoconferencing hardware and software, and it will reside in a private setting in its own dedicated room. Members will connect with an expert in a variety of financial roles. This new setup will allow members to speak “across the table” to an expert that is actually located miles away. The display will allow the member to see both the expert and any relevant documents at the same time. The monitors on each side will be equipped with a high-definition camera, microphone and speakers.
We are starting with experts that specialize in investments and mortgages. In the event that an expert in a particular field is not available in person, members will be able to arrange and have confidential communications with these subject matter experts from our base headquarters in Northeast Florida. Our hope is to provide our members with expert advice when and where they need it.
We have put a great deal of thought into what our present and future members would like to see in their new branches, and the improvements and benefits will continue to build and grow as we bring the latest technology to bear on behalf of our members. It will also be a platform from which we can launch even more compelling offerings for the future.
