Join us as we gear up for the second annual Jacksonville Lantern Parade with a fun and FREE lantern-making workshop! We will supply you with a lantern and all the supplies you need to create a unique, festive design with a tropical underwater theme. Then, join us on February 16^th at the parade to show off your creation.
 
In February, the parade route will run from the Riverside Artist Square under the Fuller Warren Bridge and continue down the St. Johns River to the Jacksonville Landing. In addition to lighting up Downtown Jacksonville with beautiful lanterns, parade participants will also be invited to enjoy live music, kids’ games, food trucks and more. There will also be a kids’ activity park set up adjacent to the Riverside YMCA and music presented at the riverfront stage at the Jacksonville Landing.
 
The parade is free and open to the public. All that we ask is that participants bring something that glows, twinkles or shines. Last year, more than 2,000 people turned out to kick off what we believe will become one of the city’s signature annual events—a glowing display of color, light, music and movement that lights up the heart of Jacksonville.
